SY26 CPS Dual Language Conference
Friday June 5, 2026 1:45pm - 2:30pm PDT
Limited Capacity full
This session invites school and district leaders to reflect on the shift from managing systems to leading for instruction in multilingual learning environments. Grounded in research on effective leadership and multilingual education, participants will examine how leaders create the conditions for strong, coherent literacy instruction across classrooms. We will explore what it means to center language, instruction, and equity in decision-making, and how leaders can support teachers through aligned systems, professional learning, and a clear instructional vision. Through reflection and practical examples, participants will consider how to move beyond compliance-driven leadership toward practices that build collective responsibility, strengthen instruction, and improve outcomes for multilingual learners.
