Hola Books is a comprehensive foundational skills program designed specifically for bilingual learners in kindergarten and first grade.At the heart of the program are authentic decodable books in Spanish—written by native speakers and bilingual educators—that reflect the Science of Reading as it applies to Spanish. What makes Hola Books different is that it’s not a translation. It’s built intentionally for Spanish, with a structured scope and sequence that aligns with how children actually learn to read in the language. The stories feature culturally relevant characters and experiences, so children not only practice decoding—they see themselves, their families, and their communities reflected in the books.In addition to our foundational skills programs, Hola Books decodables may be purchased separately as important instructional support for existing foundational programs.
